ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ayesha Gulalai, Member of National Assembly (MNA) has said that she would not relinquish the seat in National Assembly (NA) whereas spokesperson for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has said that the party would approach election commission to have her de-seated.
Gulalai launched an attack against PTI chief Imran Khan in a press conference on Tuesday during which she claimed that Khan made unwelcome advances towards her.
A day later, today, an adamant Gulalai said that the last message she received from Khan was in July 2016.
She said that she would not quit her MNA seat in KP assembly and would use her authority for betterment of the people. She asserted that she had resolved to part ways with PTI some time back.
She denied any truth to her meeting with Amir Muqam as alleged by PTI and reports that surfaced on Tuesday. She said that she has never met Muqam since she joined PTI.
Gulalai announced to move to court against PTI for leveling alleged false accusations.
She denied to join PTI after party’s protest march against the government for not checking drone strikes in parts of Pakistan, she said.
Gulalai added that she would provide evidence against Khan as per the legal procedure. The KP minister claimed that members have made blocks in PTI and factions are being made.
The MNA said that she would float a women’s political front if she secures sponsors like Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief. Irrespective of his corruption, former premier Nawaz Sharif respects his party members and women.
Gulalai claimed that she would win the elections in NA-1 if she contests however, denied the reports that suggest she asked for ticket from Khan in one of her meetings.
The minister claimed that the evidence she possesses, Khan cannot deny that. She maintained that Khan probably is being blackmailed by Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak as he does not hear a word against him.
Gulalai had referred to Khattak in her Tuesday press conference as a mafia don.
However, she denied that she was either to join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) or support Nawaz Sharif.
Gulalai further claimed that PTI had resorted to conducting a propaganda to malign her instead of explaining PTI chief’s actions.
