Summary The decision by the Supreme Court on the contempt of court by the 2 Lahore High Court PCO judges was challenged in the Lahore High court.
The decision given by the Supreme Court against the 2 high court PCO judges, Justice Hasnat Ahmad and Judge Sabir Raza was challenged by their lawyer, Dr. Abdul Basit in the Lahore high court. They maintain that the decision by the Supreme Court on 2nd February was not correct and the decision should be reviewed.The Supreme Court on 2nd February 2011 issued 9 of 11 PCO judges a notice for contempt of court. An unconditional apology was accepted from two of the lawyers. The rest of the 9 judges were sent notices for the contempt of court hearing which was scheduled to take place on the 21st of February.
