Summary The hearing of the murder case of Salman Taseer was held at the anti terrorism court in Adiala jail by Judge Raja Ikhlaq Husnain.
The accused Mumtaz Qadri was indicted after which the Mumtaz himself admitted to the crime. The hearing of the case has now been postponed and it is now scheduled to be on the 26th of February.The defense lawyer, Malik Rafique while talking to the media said that Mumtaz Qadri recorded his statement that he did not commit man slaughter instead he was provoked to kill the governor Punjab as his statements were blasphemous which according to the Sharia is legit. Therefore will court will now listen to Mumtaz’s position before making a decision.
