Summary Electricity in Quetta along with 14 districts has still not been resorted after 10 days. Low gas pressure also troubles residents.
According to KESCO and NTDC, work is still being done on the two electricity towers that are being erected near Abgam. The towers were destroyed in 5th February when miscreants blew the tower with explosive material.Electricity supply has still not been restored in Quetta, Mustang, Qalat, Khuzdar, Kharan, Nushki, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, Bolan, Ziarat, Sherani, Harnai and Zhob due to the towers that were destroyed 10 days ago. Quetta and 14 other districts are facing 20 to 22 hours of load shedding.On the other hand, the gas pressure available to the people is very low. The gas supply has also not been restored. The residents facing hardship as the cold weather has intensified in the past few days. The Sui Southern officials say that as soon as the gas pipelines are fixed, the gas supply and pressure will be restored.
