Summary Opposition parties won't be getting people's mandate in 2018 no matter how hard his rivals try: PM
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has asserted on Wednesday that he would not step down as the elements who have been rejected by the nation are demanding him to tender his resignation.
He was addressing the Sialkot Chambers of Commerce and Industry after inaugurating the Riaz-uddin Sheikh Business Centre.
The premier said that loadshedding will be completely ousted from the country in 2018, and told that new power plants are being built rapidly. He also mentioned about the motorway projects that are being completed very quickly.
It is worth mentioning here that the opposition has united after the Panama Joint Investigation Team (JIT) submitted its report in the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan, and is demanding Nawaz to step down due to corruption charges.
He said that certain elements are attempting to fail China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The premier claimed that the country was seeing power outages of at least 16 hours in 2013 and it was being speculated that Pakistan would go bankrupt.
He held the opposition responsible for delayed implementation of CPEC. PM Nawaz claimed that the opposition parties were preparing to stage a third sit-in, predecessors of which had toll on economy.
The premier rhetorically questioned who is to hold the people who resort to negative politics, accountable.
He further said that the opposition parties would not be voted to power by the people in General Elections 2018 no matter how hard his political rivals try.
