The residents of Nawabpur, Multan protested on Saturday against the auction of Govt. land of Canal Rest House and other departments. The protesters blocked Nawabur Chowk and burnt tyres. The demanded the government to withdraw the decision of selling the land.The protesters said that the government is trying to sell its land on quite minimum rates which is against public interest and a big loss to the national treasury.The protesters demanded that the government’s land should be utilized for the public welfare projects. They appealed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan to save the govt land of his constituency.
