Summary A gas cylinder of a local van exploded at a CNG filling station on Raiwind Road Saturday. 4 people were killed while 10 injured in the incident, Dunya News reported.
According to the witnesses, a local passengers’ wagon was being filled with gas when it exploded on a CNG filling station on Raiwind Road killing 4 people and injuring 10.the said that cylinder of the van was of poor quality which could not bear the gas pressure and burst. The Bomb Disposal Squad and police arrived at the spot and suspended the gas supply of CNG station.According to police, 13 to 15 passengers were traveling by this van.The owner of the CNG station said that cylinder of 200 bars should have been installed in the wagon but the cylinder of only 31 bars was installed in it which could not bear the pressure and exploded.
