Summary Maryam Nawaz is to appear before Panamagate JIT on July 5
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Woman police official, Superintendent of Police (SP) from Special Branch has been tasked by Inspector General of Police (IGP) to accompany Maryam Nawaz Sharif, premier’s daughter whilst she arrives at Federal Judicial Academy on July 5 for Panamagate Joint Investigation Team (JIT) appearance.
The investigation committee had written to the IGP for deployment of a woman police over Maryam Nawaz’s appearance after which Ursala Saleem, SP of Special Branch was tasked for the day.
Separately, the authorities have suspended Golara Station House Officer (SHO) Muhammad Abbas over ineffective security around Federal Judicial Academy. Inspector Khalid Awan was given the charge of Golara Police Station.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) has ordered Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Muhammad Hussain to explain the security lapse.
