Summary There are a lot of questions and speculations surrounding the mystery of the final decision
Panamagate Joint Investigation Team is to present its final report on 7th July 2017. What will be decision of the JIT? What are the prospects of the country after the final report is released? Will there be an immediate decision or will the accused parties be ordered to go to court again? What do legal and political experts think will be the decision? Will the Prime Minister be impeached immediately? Will the accused be put on trial before the court? Is the Supreme Court obliged to accept the decision of the JIT?
There are a lot of questions and speculations surrounding this mystery. No one knows what will happen next. Imran Waseem of Dunya News investigates the situation as he reaches out to legal experts for their opinions.

Most seem to believe that the accused parties will be asked to appear before the court to present their case after the JIT report is released. Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan and all other parties involved will be given a fair trial. Many analysts including Advocate Kamran Murtaza and Shiekh Ahsan Uddin believe there is no possibility of the formation of a new bench for further investigation.
Others, such as Barrister Ali Zafar and Asad Manzoor Butt, think that the JIT was formed for to understand the facts and the final decision is up to the Supreme Court. In case of ineligibility of the prime minister to hold office by the Supreme Court, there can be a criminal investigation.
Several experts are of the view that the decision of the JIT would not be accepted as the final decision. If the report is satisfactory, the Prime Minister may be removed from power. Otherwise, the report may be rejected.
Meanwhile, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry has insisted that the party will not rest until the PM is held accountable for the Panamagate allegations.
