Summary Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held wide-ranging talks with Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz on Monday.
JEDDAH (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called on King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia at the Royal Palace in Jeddah on Monday, Dunya News reported.
During the meeting, they reviewed close bilateral relations binding the two countries in all fields, in addition to discussing the latest regional developments.
The leadership from Pakistan arrived in Saudi Arabia on a day-long visit in a bid to mediate and ease the diplomatic crisis between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Sources said that PM Nawaz wants to play the role of a mediator in the Gulf diplomatic tensions. He believes that the Muslim countries could pave the way for prosperity if they unite with one another.
Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Advisor to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and senior officials.
