Summary A policeman was killed and four women sustained injuries during a drive against encroachments in Allah Rakhio Ghot of Gudap Town in Karachi on Wednesday. Ali Garh Society had complained to the police over occupation of their land.
Police launched an operation and demolished several houses in Allah Rakhio Ghot. Local of the area took to streets against the operation and staged a sit-in alongside the road. Police used tear gas to disperse the protestors due to which 4 women got injured. In the meantime, an unidentified person opened fire and injured a policeman. The policeman was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
