KARACHI (Dunya News) – Jamaat-i-Islami protest against K-Electric that was started four day ago, was called off on Tuesday for fifteen days after Sindh governor Zubair Umar assured them that he will take up their demands, reported Dunya News.

However, the party leadership announced that if in case their demands were not met within fifteen days, they will take to roads once more.

At the occasion, Jamat-e-Islami Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem was of the opinion that the purpose of the sit-in was not political one, instead they want to save the masses from the mal-treatment of KE.

JI leader warned that if he gets an impression that no significant development has taken place in fifteen days, he will initiate the protest once more.

Jamaat-i-Islami officials expressed at the occasion that the party workers didn’t like the decision however, it is also a fact that there is not a single matter that can be resolved without dialogue.
