Summary Sindh IG says nobody could send him home without following the legal procedure

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Sindh police Inspector General (IG) on Tuesday said that the mobile companies shared no data with the police while the department had lack of resources. He said that he had no issues with anyone, reported Dunya News.

Briefing Sindh Assembly’s standing committee for home affairs, AD Khawaja said that out of a budget of Rs 73 billion, Rs 59 billion were allocated for the salaries and only 9% could be spent on police department’s development. He added that each police mobile could be allotted only 12 litres of petrol daily while the police training centre did not even have boundary walls. He added that Ganjotko training centre had also been closed down after the attack on Quetta training centre.

AD Khawaja said that he had no personal issues with anyone but if he was removed from his post, he’d leave for home at once. He also recommended that the project directors and engineers in police should not be transferred. He said that the reason behind failure to solve issues was the lack of geo-fencing.

Khawaja added that the mobile companies shared their data only with the secret agencies and police might also be able to solve issues in time if provided with resources.
