ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly, Khurshid Shah has said on Saturday that the Government of Sindh has the legal cover for appointment of an Inspector General of Police who it deems deserving of the post.
In a statement that has been given today in the federal capital, Shah censured the government over prolonged power outages, terror attacks and tensions with India.
The opposition leader said that power shortfall has created a huge imbalance in supply and demand whereas the leaders had vowed to eliminate outages during their tenure. He asserted that the government was failing on diplomatic front as well as terms with Iran, Afghanistan and India have not bettered.
He further said that the federal government replaced five Inspector Generals of Islamabad Police and three Secretaries of the Interior.
The Government of Sindh also reserves the right to appoint a top police official of its choice.
