There was a time when Asif Ali Zardari paid frequent visits to Pir Ejaz for guidance. However, things have changed with the passage of time. The former President used to ask him to pray for his wellbeing.
Pir Ejaz expressed his desire to meet Asif Zardari. He has been trying to get an appointment but remains unlucky till now. There were speculations that the PPP Co-chairman had formed ties with another spiritual counsellor, and that some rivals had complained about Pir Ejaz to Zardari.
While Pir Ejaz even visited Aziz-ul-Rehman Chann’s house, Asif Zardari hesitated to meet him. He said that rivals were spreading false propaganda of alliance between Nawaz Sharif, President Mamnoon Hussain and the PPP Co-chairman.
He believes that his distance grew with Asif Zardari after Nawaz Sharif became the Prime Minister.
