Summary The action was taken for the first time in history for verdict given by LHC CJ Mansoor Shah
LAHORE (Dunya News) – For the first time in history, a court’s verdict has been printed in braille. It was when Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Mansoor Ali Shah ordered to give jobs to the blind people who pass the CSS exams on merit.
The blind community was pleased by the verdict in their favor, however, remained unable to read it themselves. Aziz Jehan Begum Trust for the Blind took the noble initiative.
The verdict can now be easily read by the blind people. Justice Mansoor Ali Shah had ruled a 31-page decision against discriminatory treatment with the community.
“We will not allow discrimination with the blind”, LHC CJ stated.
The people of blind community can now attain jobs in every department after passing the CSS exam on merit. The Chief Justice declared section 2 of Article 9 as null and void.
