Summary Bears were transferred to the zoo by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).

KARACHI (Dunya News) - A new pair of bears, a South Asian male and Syrian female, has arrived at the Karachi Zoo after 16 years.

The bears were transferred to the zoo by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).



Last month, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah issued orders to renovate the city’s zoo and bring it on par with the best zoos around the world.

While visiting the Karachi Zoological Gardens to assess its condition personally, the Chief Minister instructed the mayor to help concerned officials in surveying the zoo.
