LAHORE (Dunya News) – As the operation against the selling of sub-standard items widens in Lahore, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted raids at various parts of the city, reported Dunya News.
In a special crackdown by the authority, a prominent sweet shop at Kaccha Jail Road was sealed while a factory that used to manufacture tamarind and toffees was also sealed in the process.
Moreover, a catering company at Nishtar Town and a trading company that supplied the expiry drinks of a renowned brand were also sealed in the crackdown.
At Shalimar Town, a production plant that used sub-standard oil in the production of snacks was also sealed.
The officials of PFA revealed that a strict action against those who manufacture and produce sub-standard food items will be taken regardless of any prejudice.
The officials also revealed that nobody would be allowed to play with human lives.
