Mardan CTD registers case against terrorist attack on Charsadda court

Summary Investigation team has sent suicide attacker's DNA samples to laboratory for tests.

MARDAN (Dunya News) – The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Mardan on Wednesday registered a First Information Report (F.I.R) against terrorist attack on a local court in Charsadda district.

The case has been registered under anti-terrorism act, section 302 and other sections.

On the other hand, the investigation team has sent suicide attacker’s DNA samples to laboratory for tests.



At least seven people including a lawyer were killed and around 20 were wounded when three terrorists carrying hand grenades and AK-47 assault rifles tried to enter the district and session court in Tangi Tehsil the northwestern district of Charsadda.

One attacker blew himself up outside the court, while two were killed by policemen before they could enter the building.

Today, all educational institutions and business centers were closed in the area while lawyers boycotted the court proceedings across the province to protest against the incident.
