Indian aggression at LoC aims to scuttle Pakistan's counter-terror efforts: COAS

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of the Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said on Tuesday that Indian aggression at the Line of Control aims at scuttling efforts of Pakistan against terrorism.

Statement of the army chief came in as he visited Mattewala and Munaawar Sectors at the Line of Control today and appreciated operational readiness of the troops to respond to any aggression. 



Inter-Services Public Relations of Pakistan Army reported that the army chief was briefed by the General Officer Commanding over operational preparedness.

On the occasion, General Bajwa branded violation of ceasefire treaty by India at the Line of Control an attempt to scuttle efforts of Pakistan against terrorism. He asserted that Indian aggression would be effectively responded.




The army chief said that the military is well aware of Indian support of terrorism in Pakistan as well as the region.

Arrest of Kulbhushan Yadhav, an in-service Indian naval officer, is an evidence of Indian-sponsored terror.

He further said that the army would continue support of Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom and ensured that all efforts would be made to protect the people against Indian aggression.
