Khawaja said that the people should have practical participation under a police law. He said that Punjab’s police was working under the law made in 2002 while there was an entirely new law in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while the Sindh police was still working under the 19th century law. Police should not be expected to give 21st century results with 1861 act, he said.
