Summary The protesters blocked a road to protest against hospital's administration

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Families of victimized patients blocked road outside Jinnah Hospital on Friday in bid to protest lack of implants in different wards causing postponement of surgeries.

Reportedly, neither the hospital management has implants available with it nor the victimized families are allowed to make purchases from markets. The locals protested against the hospital administration outside KMS Office but blocked the road later on as their demands were not paid heed to.

The protesters raised slogans against the administration and the government for not taking note of the issue.

Families of the patients have warned the hospital management of staging another protest on Saturday if operations are not routinely scheduled. The protesters have demanded of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif to take note of the issue and issue required directives.

It should be noted here that use of substandard stents in different Lahore hospitals was exposed last month which was taken notice of by the provincial government and the issue has also been discussed by standing committee of Senate.
