LAHORE (Dunya News) – The opposition members inside Punjab Assembly protested severely against the hike of petroleum prices, reported Dunya News.
Leader of the opposition seemed angry at the occasion as he sought permission for the passing of ‘out of turn’ resolution.
However, as the speaker didn’t allow the resolution to be passed, the opposition leader walked out of the assembly session.
In the assembly session, three ordinances were extended up to 3 months that included civil administration ordinance, real income tax ordinance and land record ordinance.
The foreign loans of the provincial government also became known through the assembly’s session.
It was revealed during the session that the provincial government obtained 43.11 billion and 55.56 billion during the years 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively.
It was also revealed in the assembly session that the Bank of Punjab write-off loans amounting to 1.58 billion in the last eight years.
