ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -The National Assembly (NA) will meet today (Tuesday).
The meeting is expected to consider the opposition’s privilege motion against the Prime Minister.
The speaker has also allowed the opposition members to speak on the point of order.
One member from each opposition party will comment on the motion as per the procedure set in the chamber.
Earlier, Prime Minister’s lawyer had adopted stance in Supreme Court that the premier’s speech in the House was of routine however; the facts are being presented in the court.
Following this, opposition submitted the motion maintaining that PM’s lawyer statement has damaged the House’s dignity, therefore; the matter should be brought under discussion.
Besides this various significant bills, proposals to amend acts, resolutions and calling attention notices will be introduced in the meeting.
