ISLAMABAD (Daily Dunya) - Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani termed disappearance of people a ‘dangerous precedent’ and directed the interior ministry to submit a report in this regard.

If it is not a policy of the government and a gang has been abducting people from Islamabad then it is a dangerous trend, said Rabbani.

Rabbani directed Minister of State for Interior Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman to submit a detailed reply in the upper house of parliament on Friday.

At least five social media activists and campaigners have gone missing within a week from two major cities of Pakistan.

Human right activists and civil society members have voiced concern over disappearance and conducted protest rallies across the country, urging government to recover missing people at earliest.
