Summary Five affectees referred to Allied hospital due to their critical situation
TOBA TEK SINGH (Dunya News) – At least 20 people were rushed to district headquarters hospital Mubarakabad area of Toba Tek Singh after they consumed poisoned liquor, reported Dunya News.
However, twelve of the affectees including Tony, Yaqoob and Salim were pronounced dead after they were brought to the hospital.
Moreover, rest of the affectees were undergoing treatment in DHQ hospital as some of them were referred to Allied hospital due to their critical situation.
Wife of one of the affectees revealed that those dealing in toxic liquors are giving extortion money to the police.
DSP Saddar Atif Imran Qureshi while talking to media expressed that the liquor had been sold owing to the permit given to the dealers.
He let it be known that investigations are carried out and necessary actions will be taken against those responsible.
