Opposition protests as Daniyal Aziz speaks in NA

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition protested in the National Assembly (NA) on Monday after Daniyal Aziz, Member of National Assembly (MNA) from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spoke on point of order.

Speaker Ayaz Sadiq presided over a session of the National Assembly today that begun with a delay of two hours.

Members of the opposition mainly Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protested in the House as soon as Aziz began to talk on point of order. The NA Speaker instructed the members to maintain silence and let PML-N’s MNA speak but in vain.

Lawmakers belonging to PTI demanded premier’s presence in the House and offer an explanation over contradictions in statements over Panama Leaks. The members said that explanation of any ‘spokesperson’ of the PM would not be accepted.

However, Khawaja Asif, Minister of Defence said that he awaited Chairman of PTI, Imran Khan’s arrival in the National Assembly.
