Summary Traders, district admin clashed as operation was carried out against encroachment, 10 under arrest
MULTAN: (Dunya News) – The traders had a clash with the district administration in Multan as an operation against the encroachment was carried out. The government officials arrested ten people for intervening in the state affairs. They also took some of the items from the shops and carts upon which the traders protested by burning their goods, reported Dunya News.
The district administration and the police carried out the operation against encroachments in Hussain Agaahi Market, Ghanta Ghar and Caulat Gate Chowk. The officials allegedly ‘looted’ the goods of the traders upon which the traders first protested and then brawled with them.
Police arrested ten people for allegedly intervening into the affairs of the state. The traders protested burning their goods, blocking the road. The DCO said that the city was full of encroachments due to the collusion between the traders and TMO officials.
