ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Sunday grounded all Pakistan International Airlines ATR planes after an engine of PIA flight PK-581 caught fire just before the takeoff at the Multan airport on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
According to the secretary CAA, Irfan Elahi, the ATR planes would only be allowed to fly again after the maintenance clearance report.
According to a PIA spokesman, 40 flight operations across the country will be affected due to the grounding of the ATR planes by the Civil Aviation Authority.
