ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The National Assembly on Wednesday has passed three bills including "The Pakistan Commissions of Inquiry Bill, 2016".

The bill which was moved by Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid aimed at setting up fact-finding commissions on a number of important national issues in the past with greater powers.

It provides for the constitution of a powerful commission for investigation into various issues including Panama Papers.

The scope of this commission bill will be wider and it will have all the authority to constitute special teams of experts as well as international teams to get the required information.

The other two bills are "The Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2016" and "The Public Private Partnership Authority Bill, 2016". These were also moved by Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid.

The members belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) opposed these bills and walked out of the proceedings.
