ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned firing at the Line of Control (LoC) by Indian forces that claimed ten lives on Wednesday.

Spokesperson for the Prime Minister (PM) House conveyed that the premier condemned rocket attack on passenger bus in Neelum Valley and said that Indian government was not aware of the seriousness of the issue.

He said that sacrifices of Pakistan’s soldiers would always be remembered.

The statement has come in hours after three soldiers were martyred in Indian shelling and seven civilians lost their lives while travelling in a bus as a rocket fired by Indian forces targeted the coach.

Seven passengers were injured in the attack.

Indian forces have ramped up violations of ceasefire at the LoC since September after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif raised issue of Kashmir dispute while addressing 71st session of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Pakistan-India terms were thought by analysts to be bettering after Narendra Modi’s surprise visit to Lahore in December 2015 however, attack on Pathankot airbase of Indian Punjab pushed the budding ties back to square one.

In September, an attack on Indian army’s brigade headquarters in Uri Town of Baramulla District prompted Modi to allege Pakistan once again without proof.
