Summary Zakriya Express was over speeding at the time of massive collision
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The initial report of Karachi train incident has been presented to the constituted committee of Railways.
It has been mentioned in the report that the driver and assistant driver of Zakriya Express hit Fareed Express from behind while breaking the signal at the same time as they jumped out of the train.
The report also revealed that Zakriya Express was over speeding at the time of massive collision.
Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad rafique revealed to the committee that the recent railway accidents are the reason of human irresponsibility and not owing to defects in traffic signals.
He also stressed the need for making the punishment regulations effective within the railways and according to his opinion, rules and regulations need to amend in this regard.
