ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Ministry has extended stay of army in the federal capital for 90 days and a notification has been issued in the matter.
The extension came in under Article 245 of the Constitution of Pakistan.
At least 350 army personnel are deployed at sensitive installments in the federal capital.
It should also be mentioned here that a targeted operation is underway in Karachi where the federation has deployed Pakistan Rangers since 2013 to curb crime incidence and extensions are granted every three months.
