ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday dismissed plea of Engineers forum about construction of Kalabagh Dam.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Zamali heard the case in which the judge announced reserved verdict on review appeal filed by engineers.

The plea stated that government is delaying Kalabagh Dam’s construction despite court’s order. The court disposed of the case saying that the construction is postponed due to technical ground.
Earlier, Justice Gulzar remarked that the dam issue is being politicized with three provinces who are not favoring its construction.

Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali stated that the court will not interfere in policy matters as no one’s right is undermined whether the dam is constructed or not.
