Summary Difficulties faced in transporting dead bodies, injured to hospitals due to shortage of ambulances
PALANDARI (Dunya News) – 20 people died whereas over 25 were injured after a bus of wedding visitors fell in a ravine near Palandari, Azad Kashmir, on Sunday, reported Dunya News.
The bus was heading from Palandari to Hajira but fell in the ravine as it was taking a turn near Baral. Twenty people lost their lives as a result of the accident whereas over 25 got injured.
Police stated that over 60 passengers were present in the unfortunate bus. 15 injured were transferred to Palandari Hospital. Children and women constituted a large portion of the injured ones.
Difficulties were being faced in shifting the dead bodies and the injured ones to the hospital as a result of the shortage of ambulances. The administration stated that more vehicles were rushed to the area in order to facilitate the rescue works.
