LARKANA (Web Desk) – A Rangers personnel was killed and four others were among thirteen injured in a roadside blast in Larkana district on Saturday morning, Dunya News reported.

The explosion took place near paramilitary Rangers’ vehicle near Miro Khan Chowk. A heavy contingent of police and Rangers personnel immediately arrived at the scene and cordoned off the blast site.



The injured Rangers men including Rashid, Salman, Bilal and Sartaj were shifted to Chandka Hospital.

According to preliminary investigation, a time-device was planted in a cycle partked on the roadside.

Newly-elected Sindh Chief Minister took notice of the incident and sought a report from the concerned authorities. 

The incident took place four days after two gunmen opened fire on army’s pick-up truck in Saddar area in the southern city of Karachi, claiming lives of Lance Naik Abdul Razzaq and Sepoy Khadim Hussain.

Both were shot in the head and face.

The law enforcement agencies launched a major crackdown on militants and criminals in the city, which is the country’s economic hub, in 2013 and levels of violence have dropped drastically since then.
