Summary Qaim Ali Shah will present his resignation letter to governor tomorrow
KARACHI (Dunya News) – According to sources, Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah has finalised his resignation letter and would present it to Governor Sindh on Wednesday, reported Dunya News.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari presided the party meeting at Bilawal House in Karachi and after the meeting he met Qaim Ali Shah.
Bilawal said that it was a very difficult decision to remove Qaim Ali Shah from the post but they had to do it while keeping the betterment of province and party in mind. He also said that Qaim Ali Shah is asset of party and they will keep on consulting him.
Bilawal nominated Murad Ali Shah for the post of CM Sindh as more than 50 officials of PPP were present at the occasion. Qaim Ali Shah wrote in his resignation letter that he was resigning on the directions of party leadership.
After the meeting, Murad Ali Shah gave his first interview to Dunya News and thanked party leadership for showing trust in him. He vowed to fulfill the expectations of PPP, Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal. He said that he would show good governance so that PPP wins next elections not only in Sindh but the entire country.
Reportedly, PPP leadership is worried about the number game and voting in the matter in Sindh Assembly.
Experts have said that it would not be easy for Murad Ali Shah to get vote of confidence as he needs at least 85 votes and PPP has got 91 seats in assembly.
Some of PPP members are out of the country and are likely to remain absent on the day of voting while some are, according to the sources not agreeing with the nomination.
PPP officials met the head of Functional league Pir Pagara and Murad Ali Shah will soon visit Nine Zero to get vote of confidence from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members.
