ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif congratulated the British PM Theresa May on taking charge of her post, reported Dunya News on Tuesday.
PM Nawaz told PM May that they would keep on cooperating for healthy relations between both countries. He hoped that Britain would prosper under the leadership of PM May and would keep on making contributions in international affairs.
May thanked Pakistan’s PM on wishes and said that Pakistan is a strong ally of Britain and they would also cooperate with them. She said that Britain’s ties with Pakistan would not be affected even after they left European Union (EU).
British PM also said that they support the democratic system of Pakistan. May also said that she wanted to visit Pakistan as home secretary but now she would soon visit Pakistan as PM.
