Summary Islamabad IG stated that security agencies had foiled these major attacks in June
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar on Thursday expressed resentment over Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IG) for having an unofficial conversation with journalists and briefing them over foiling a major terror attack, reported Dunya News.
Islamabad IG Tariq Masood Yasin said that terrorists wanted to attack universities and five-star hotels in the same way terror attacks had been conducted in Mumbai attacks. Yasin stated that security agencies had foiled these major attacks in June.
He confessed it in a meeting related to Internal affairs, convened by Senator Rehman Malik.
