Summary US parliamentarians did not recognise or admired Pakistan's sacrifices in the war: Nisar
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar on Thursday met with United States (US) ambassador David Hale. Stating his views, Nisar said that baseless allegations made by US Congressmen on Pakistan could damage mutual interests as well relations between both the countries, reported Dunya News.
The minister also met Chinese Minister for Security and discussed security and intelligence related challenges regarding China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Both the leaders also agreed to enhance bilateral counter-terrorism cooperation for regional stability.
He expressed concerns regarding recent anti-Pakistan statements released by US Congressmen. During a meeting with David Hale, Interior Minister said that Pakistan had paid a heavy price in the war against terror and that US parliamentarians did not recognise or admired Pakistan’s initiatives and sacrifices in the war.
Nisar said that cooperation with China was the most important strategic partnership in the 21st century. The very project will open new phases of Pak-China collaboration as well economic stability and boost for both the countries, Nisar added.
Pakistan will not allow its territory to be used against any other country, Nisar said.
