Summary Maleeha Lodhi has said that Indian army is violating Security Council resolutions and human rights.
NEW YORK (Dunya News) - Pakistan s permanent Ambassador to the United Nations Dr Maleeha Lodhi on Wednesday said that the Indian army is violating Security Council resolutions and human rights in the occupied Kashmir.
She further said that hundreds of innocent Kashmiris are being arrested and tortured by the Indian forces and added that at least 36 Kashmiris have been killed by Indian forces in the past few days. “UN resolution only way to resolve Kashmir issue,” she said.
Maleeha Lodhi said that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute is only possible through the realisation of the right to self-determination of the people of Kashmir, as per UNSC resolutions, through a fair and impartial plebiscite under UN auspices.
