Summary Within a time span of one-week reserves increased by USD 1 million and 300 million: State Bank
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Foreign exchange reserves on Monday reached the highest level in national history worth USD 23 billion and 80 million, reported Dunya News.
According to State Bank, within a time span of one week reserves increased by USD 1 million and 300 million and reached above USD 23 billion.
Statistics revealed that USD 500 million was received by International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the same amount had been received by World Bank while USD 300 million were received from Asian Development Bank.
On the other hand, with respect to international loans, State Bank had paid USD 50 million. Economic experts believed that instead of increase in exports, rise in external debts through foreign exchange reserves could lead to the gradual devastation of national economy.
