Summary No case of treason will be filed against Achakzai over violation of Article-6, Shah says

SUKKUR (Dunya News) – Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Syed Khurshid Shah demanded on Thursday that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif should present himself for accountability as the investigation of the Panama Leaks issue was at his discretion, reported Dunya News.

While addressing to an Eid milan party, Shah stated that the PM himself stated that he was ready to be accounted and enquired that why were the governmental ministers outraged after this decision of the Prime Minister.

Shah condemned the terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia and stated that those individuals who carried out attacks in Madinah cannot be normal beings. He stated that the Islamic countries should understand that those who attacked the holy city were ‘beasts’.

Opposition leader stated that those individuals who consider that the War on Terror was a battle that associated Pakistan were mistaken in their thinking. Shah said that the Islamic countries need to be united on one platform to for fighting terrorism.

Khurshid Shah enquired that why did instances of terrorism occur in Pakistan, Turkey and Afghanistan, “why not in Israel and other countries?” Opposition leader said that the leaders of the Islamic countries need to step forward in order to battle with terrorism and suggested that the people should unite to defeat the menace of terrorism.

Commenting upon the controversial statement issued by Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Khurshid Shah said that no case of treason shall be filed against Achakzai as no instances of cases being filed against any other person over violation of Article-6 of the constitution were there to be found in the past.

Opposition leader said that the Afghan immigrants present in Pakistan must return to their country.
