Furious locals take to streets against unannounced power cut in Sheikhupura

 SHEIKHUPURA (Dunya News) – Enraged locals staged a protest against a four-day long electricity load shedding today (Thursday).

Residents burned tyres and blocked the main road due to which the flow of traffic was suspended from Sheikhupura to Lahore.

The protesters also besieged Begum Kot sub-division and ransacked Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) office when no official authority came out to hear the demands of the violent protestors.

Moreover, Wapda officers fled the office after the attack.
