Summary Monsoon currents are continuously penetrating in the country.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Intense heat and muggy weather persist in Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Wednesday however; rain thundershower with strong gusty winds and dust-storm is expected at scattered places in Balochistan, Sindh, upper Punjab, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 12 hours.

According to details, Met office has forecasted rain/dust-thundershower with isolated heavy falls accompanied by strong gusty winds at scattered places in Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Makran divisions), Sindh (Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi divisions), Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal divisions), FATA, Islamabad and Kashmir, while at isolated places in KP (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D.I. Khan divisions), South Punjab (Bahawalpur, Multan, D.G Khan divisions) and Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan with its trough extending eastwards.

Monsoon currents are continuously penetrating in the country and likely to continue during next couple of days.

A westerly wave is present over Afghanistan and western border of Pakistan & likely to persist during next 24 to 36 hours.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Wednesday morning was:

Islamabad 27°C, Lahore and Peshawar 29°C, Karachi 28°C, Quetta and Muzaffarabad 23°C and Gilgit and Murree 26°C.

Today’s highest maximum temperatures:

Dadu 45°C, Turbat 43°C, Chillas, Dalbandin 42°C.
