Kaira questions appointment of 2000 ex-army men in Sindh Police

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira on Tuesday said that Sindh Police was blamed in any kind of failure of law enforcement while Rangers and agencies were praised for any successful raid or operation, reported Dunya News.

Talking to Dunya News program ‘On the Front’, he said that Interior Minister needed to elaborate the issue of appointment of 2000 ex-army personnel in Sindh Police, under which law the very initiative had been taken, he questioned.

The matter was concerned to provincial government; even Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif had no right of involvement in this matter, Kaira said.

Other than army, police had also sacrificed to ensure peace and harmony and police order 2002 should be implemented, PPP leader added.
