Summary PTI MPAs also expressed reservations over Qaim Ali Shah's statement
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Reacting to Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah’s statement made in Sindh Assembly on Saturday, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan stated that the CM forgot to talk about the happenings that took place on December 27, reported Dunya News.
Khawaja Izhar said that those discussing about the riots that took place on May 12, 2007, did not mention anything about the violence that took place on December 27.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) also expressed their concerns over Shah’s statements. Party members said that if the Chief Minister was aware of those behind the riots of May 12 then he should inform the public that why no action was taken against them.
Earlier in the day while speaking in the Sindh Assembly, Qaim Ali Shah said that he was aware of those responsible for the violence that took place on May 12, 2007, but he did not give any names nor pointed towards any political party.
