ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Countrywide raids have been conducted by security agencies against terrorists as 17 people linked to Islamic State (IS) have been arrested on Thursday, reported Dunya News.
The arrested suspects also disclosed terror plots on renowned TV anchors and hosts. They were arrested from Karachi, Nowshera, Sargodha, Lahore and DI Khan.
Furthermore, suspect Asim alias Osama involved in the terror attack on a private TV channel in Islamabad had revealed other names during interrogation confessing that Aslam alias Chotu and Mujtaba alias Shakir were also involved in the attack.
Lists of private TV anchors, police and other law enforcement agencies had also been recovered from suspects who were considered as the prime targets by them. They had also extorted Rs 1,500,000 from different people.
