LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed solidarity with woman’s rights activist and journalist Marvi Sirmed who was verbally abused and assaulted by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Hafiz Hamdullah during the recording of a television programme, reported Dunya News on Sunday.
Bilawal stated that Hafiz Hamdullah’s behaviour was inappropriate and insulting, further adding that party shall raise the matter in the parliament and other forums as well. He stated that limits need to be placed on such characters so that they may not become a disgrace for the society.
Referring towards Hafiz Hamdullah, Bilawal said that he should not avoid punishment and that religious leaders should also turn against the JUI-F leader.
