Blistering heat wave persists all over country

Summary Most areas will likely undergo a temperature above 50°C.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 48 hours.

According to Meteorological Office, very hot and dry weather conditions are likely to continue till Thursday over plain areas of Punjab, central and southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Sindh, Sibbi and Makran divisions.

Most areas will likely undergo a temperature above 50°C.

However, isolated rain/thunderstorm with strong gusty winds is expected in Kohat division, upper FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan with its trough extending south-eastwards. Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Monday morning:

Islamabad 26 °C, Lahore 28°C, Karachi 28°C, Peshawar 24°C, Quetta 23°C, Murree 21°C and Muzaffarabad 19°C.
